Riverside Military Academy is a private, coeducational, non-denominational college-preparatory military school located in 2001 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Georgia, United States. It was founded in 1907 by Haywood Jefferson Pearce and Azor W. Van Hoose, at the time owners of the all-female Brenau College in Gainesville. In 1913, Pearce and Van Hoose hired Sandy Beaver as the school’s headmaster. By 1915, Beaver acquired ownership of the school and presided over its growth until his passing in 1969.

As a college-preparatory military school, Riverside Military Academy offers a structured environment within the context of military framework. The military setting adds structure, responsibility, accountability and consequences to each cadet, molding each cadet into responsible young men with a passion to succeed in life. Academically, the school offers small class sizes, individualized attention, and frequent accountability that often are proven formula for success.

Riverside Military Academy is a non-denominational military school; however, the school believes that spiritual instruction and the value of worship promotes the development of the person as a whole. As such, Riverside Military Academy encourages Christian behavior. Cadets have the option of attending Riverside’s on-campus chapel service each Sunday, which are conducted with a Judeo-Christian perspective, an organized observance with our Jewish Students Association. Additionally, cadets can also attend any of the several off-campus churches nearby, which include St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grace Episcopal Church, Gainesville First United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, and Lakewood Baptist Church. Riverside’s chaplain leads weekly Bible studies and mentors the academy’s chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
