Derby High School is a public high school located in 920 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas, United States. It was established in 1994 and is currently the only comprehensive public High School in Derby, offering a variety of courses based upon student demands in Kansas and the neighboring vicinity, as determined by enrollment selections, facilities, and staff available.

As a prominent high school in the state, Derby High focuses on quality education and training to fully prepare its students for college. Derby High works with major colleges and universities to map classes that best prepare students for those environment.

Derby High offers a Junior ROTC program as the state’s foremost leadership training program. The program is designed primarily to teach students leadership, self-reliance, personal responsibility, a sense of accomplishment, and an appreciation to the importance of physical fitness.

The JROTC program will also help foster the values of citizenship, responsiveness to constituted authority, service to the United States, and will help motivate young Americans toward military service and have an increasing a respect for the role of the U.S. Armed Forces in support of national objectives.
