Missouri Military Academy (MMA) is a private, non-denominational Christian, university-preparatory military school located in 204 North Grand Street Mexico, Missouri, United States.

The school traces its roots way back in 1889, when the citizens of Mexico, Missouri petitioned for a school and donated 20 acres of land and funds. Colonel Alexander Fleet, a US Civil War veteran, erected the first campus southwest of the city. In the fall of 1896, a fire ravaged the school property and consequently, Colonel Fleet consolidated the school with Culver Military Academy (now known as Culver Academies). By 1900, the Businessmen's Association of Mexico petitioned to rebuild MMA. With $10,000 contribution by the City of Mexico and Colonel A.K. Yancey direction, MMA was rebuilt and on September 20 of that year, the doors of the Academy opened once more.

In 1933, under Colonel Stribling, the sixth to assume leadership since Colonel Fleet, the Academy solidified its position as one of the leading college preparatory schools in the nation. In 1948, the school was reorganized as a non-profit institution controlled by a Board of Trustees.

Missouri Military Academy is one of the leading military boarding schools in the country, with a noteworthy record of academic achievement and notable alumni. The school features discipline within the context of a military framework and strong academic standards as a result to structure. With the recent addition of the new academic building, Barnard Hall, rigorous academic curriculum and structured environment, the Academy has raised its academic standards even further.

JROTC is an integral part of the education in MMA. The program develops leadership skills, strengthens character, emphasizes values, improves fitness and promotes a healthy lifestyle and promotes a drug-free environment. The school has been recognized as an “Honor Unit with Distinction” which allows is graduates special nomination privileges in any of the nation’s Service Academies.
